Life today is fast-paced and hectic. The rules that govern relationships among friends, in families, at work, and in our communities grow ever more confusing. No wonder people today are experiencing stress, panic, depression, and anger at increasing rates. Therapy (counseling) is a tool to help us look at our situations; assess problem areas, strengths and weaknesses; and determine ways that we can make effective, positive changes.

Therapy at SEB Health includes attention to Social, Emotional, and Behavioral health.

Social issues include social skills at work and with friends, family and in other relationships.  It is also dealing with feeling shy or fearful of social situations.

Emotional issues include such feelings as anger, depression, fears, phobias, and apathy when they interfere with normal life.

Behavioral issues include hostile or inappropriate behavior, “acting out,” avoidance, isolating, addictions, etc.

In addition, spiritual issues, confusion about church or religion, and anger with God or the church may need to be addressed.

Therapy

After you make an appointment at SEB Health, your therapist will gather detailed information such as your history, your current situation, and your plans for the future.

The focus of therapy will likely be your current situation, feelings and how and/or what you want to change.

Information about your past helps you and your therapist know and understand you better and to better understand how your current situation developed.

Information about your plans for the future will help you and your therapist plan your therapeutic goals.
